It has elements of ’50s\/’60s Southern California, as well as nods to some of the first modern electric guitars. Its hollow body construction makes it incredibly lightweight, and easy to stand with. The pickups, a set of Powers’ proprietary FF42 single coils, are a focal point of the instrument, and give this guitar a hi-fidelity single coil sound with punch and articulation. The tremolo is an innovative take on a classic design we know well, and was expanded upon with intonation in mind. Each string has a compensated slot on the tail piece that ensures the strings will reset back in-tune. This guitar masterfully encompasses guitar culture through its surf, car, and skate aesthetics, and creates something uniquely purposeful and versatile.
