Interestingly, this model has a reversed string orientation, which places the fundamental, or lower pitched, string at the top of each pair, a set up that adds warmth and body. (This set up was pioneered by Rickenbacker’s electric 12-strings.) Like many of its Builder’s Edition counterparts, this 12-string is finished with a Silent Satin sheen that reduces incidental noise for clean recordings. The body and fretboard edges are chamfered and the beveled armrest and cutaway providing a truly fluid, intimate connection between player and instrument.
