The Collings Hill Country OM2 A takes the popular model and tweaks the bracing to produce a tone that has a woody, open quality with a strong fundamental. The OM2 A has an Adirondack spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, a classic tone wood combo. Cosmetically, this guitar has a clean, no-frills look. There is no logo inlay on the headstock but there is a Collings stamp on the back of the headstock. It features ivoroid body binding with no herringbone, diamonds & squares inlays, and unique matching, hand-poured appointments, including pickguard, rosette ring, wedge, and heel cap. Hill Country instruments require additional voicing and build stages so they take longer to craft. But all it takes is one strum to make you realize the extra effort is worth it.
